L'Oreal EverCreme Intense Nourishing Shampoo/Conditioning Masque
These L'Oreal shampoo/conditioner samples came in the Target "Fall Beauty Bag" and oh my gosh, this is easy my favorite moisturizing hair product. My hair is so soft today that it almost feels fake but it's not filled with static, which is usually a problem when my hair gets very soft. It's glossy and wonderful. I didn't get a chance to flat-iron it with all of this Hurricane Sandy madness, but I might do that later today, at which point I'll update how it takes to the flat iron.
Crowdtap
So, I became a member of "Crowdtap" about a week ago at the suggestion of a friend who is also into these websites where you can earn money or gift cards to do simple tasks. Crowdtap is one of the better that I've seen. Of course, InboxDollars is my reigning favorite - but I'm liking Crowdtap a lot as well, seeing as how I'm in running for a coupon for a FREE DRESS from Old Navy - and one for a friend, too.
Also, the "cheapest" gift card is 5,000 points and, within a week, I already have 7,510. Granted, the cheapies are $10 gift cards - but that's $10 you didn't have before!
To get points you can complete "missions," or just simply fill out your profile and answer your "Quick Hits" questions - you get 25 points per question, and some you get 1,000 bonus points if you're lucky.

So, with Hurricane Sandy in full swing, I wasn't even sure that the post office was open today. However, I got one of the best freebie days ever today. PLUS a coupon book from Target! :-)

John Frieda - Hydrate & Nourish and Purify & Nourish
I think that a few years ago I used a John Frieda tea tree oil shampoo. I wasn't really a big fan then. Using these samples didn't really convince me otherwise, either. First of all, I couldn't get past the smell. It isn't an unpleasant smell - but it smells like men's shampoo or body wash - that musky male smell. Being that I'm a female, I prefer to smell like a flower, as opposed to - well, a man. On the positive side, it produces a nice, clean-feeling tingle on your scalp if you leave it sit for a few seconds.
My hair was soft after I used it, but I didn't notice any extraordinary results that would make me want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a bottle of the stuff. As with Garnier Fructis, JF did not send coupons. Boooooo!

Garnier Fructis - Sleek and Shine & Triple Nutrition
I love Garnier Fructis - I loved them before I got these samples. I had tried Sleek and Shine in the past and it's incredible. That says something coming from me with my frizzy, fly-away prone hair. When I flat iron my hair after using sleek and shine it literally feels like silk and is PIN straight. There was no disappointment this time, either. I was disappointed though, because the samples didn't come with coupons - and if they had I may have bought a bottle or two.
Triple Nutrition had pretty much the same effect on my hair as Sleek and Shine. Now that I think back on it, I should have waited a few days to use Triple Nutrition because usually Sleek and Shine's effects last several days even if I'm not continuously using it. I have nothing bad to say about Garnier - except that they should send some flippin coupons!

Inbox Dollars Update
Currently, as of this morning, I have $44.43 in my account. I've slowed down a lot on the surveys, I actually haven't done one in three or four days. I've just mainly been opening up my emails. I'm really enjoying the fact that there's more money in my account every day. I want to add up as much as I can and then take it out at the beginning of December. Any extra cash for Christmas will help!
It's truly too simple to pass up the opportunity to make easy money. To sign up, just click below and fill in your information. You get $5 just for signing up!

Finish Quantum Powerball Dishwashing Tabs
I'm fairly new to the use of a dishwasher. I vowed to never use it, but I've been quite tired of washing dishes (it's my least favorite chore) and I gave in. I purchased AJAX Dishwashing packets, (I'll admit, because they're the cheapest), and they pretty much suck for pots and pans. Everything else they do okay with, but they leave a nasty white film on the pots and pans.
I ordered a sample of Finish Quantum Powerball and I received two tabs in the mail a few days ago. The result?
My dishes were shining! (No white film on the pans)
I was very, very impressed with the difference. When I say shining, I'm not exaggerating, I could see my reflection in my black plates.
Will I switch to buying these all the time? Honestly, probably not. The difference in cost is just not worth it to me, since I'm used to washing my dishes by hand anyway. If worse comes to worse, I'll just take some dish soap and a rag to my pots and pans.
Do I recommend this for die-hard dishwasher users? Absolutely.

Nescafe Mementos
I received my Nescafe Mementos samples in the mail today. I was really excited for these to come because, although I've tried other instant cappuccino-type brands and have not been impressed, Nescafe's presentation of this product is exceptional and made me believe it might be better. I haven't tried the Caramel yet, but I'm sitting here as I type this with the Mocha - hot and steaming in my mug - and let me tell you, it's DELICIOUS! I'm very impressed.
Why do I like it? Well, other brands seem to be very sweet and they actually TASTE instant. Nescafe Mementos taste like I just walked to the coffee shop on the corner and ordered a Mocha Cappuccino, sincerely. It's great. The preparation is easy too. It says use very hot, but not boiling water. I used hot tap water, microwaved it for 10 seconds, and mixed in the powder. Simple. Tasty. Incredible!
The samples came with a couple for $1.50 off. :-)

Pull-Up Goodnights
I got 2 free Pull-Up Goodnights in the mail (samples!) and used them with my son two consecutive nights. They worked great both nights. I had pretty much given up on using Pull-Ups at night when he started leaking through. It was a waste of money to still have to wash the sheets every day. I never boosted him up to the Goodnights because I figured if the regular pull-ups couldn't handle the volume, neither could the Goodnights. Well, I was wrong.
My son said they're comfortable, nothing about the fit bothered him. He slept well, for the same amount of time. Overall, no complaints!
The samples came with a $2 coupon, so I'll be purchasing those!
